Free Speech and Big Tech
February 07, 2023
Never in American history has our right to free speech been under assault and threatened to this magnitude.
The Biden White House pressured social media companies to censor users for posting “true, but inconvenient” information about government policy.[1]
The Department of Homeland Security was exposed coordinating with Twitter and Facebook to censor legally protected free speech.[2]
Joe Biden’s FBI paid Twitter $3.5 million in taxpayer funds to field requests related to Hunter Biden’s laptop scandal.[3]
Biden revoked a 2020 Trump order that would have allowed federal authorities to hold online platforms responsible for modifying or infringing on a user’s speech.[4]
Biden proposed an amendment to Title IX that would lower the threshold for what constitutes “harassment” that would extend beyond the school environment into personal social media comments.[5]
President Donald J. Trump understands that if we don’t have free speech in America, then we will no longer be a free country.
President Trump signed an executive order to crack down on censorship by social media companies. [6]
After being deplatformed, President Trump sued Big Tech companies for violating not only his first amendment right, but the rights of every American censored online. [7]
President Trump signed an executive order that promoted college campuses by linking federal research funding to institutions that agreed to promote free inquiry.[8]
President Trump has proposed a detailed plan to shatter the left-wing censorship regime, and to reclaim the right to Free Speech for all Americans. President Trump will:
Ban federal agencies from colluding to censor American citizens
Ban taxpayer dollars from being used to label speech as “mis-” or “disinformation”
Fire every federal bureaucrat who has engaged in domestic censorship
Stop federal funding for all non-profits and academic programs engaged in censorship
Suspend federal dollars to any university that has engaged in censorship support activities
Order the DOJ to investigate all parties involved in online censorship regime and prosecute any and all crimes identified
Revise Section 230 to drastically curtail big platforms’ power to restrict lawful speech
Enact criminal penalties for federal bureaucrats who partner with private entities to violate your Constitutional rights
Impose a 7-year cooling-off period before former intel and national security officials can work at Big Tech platforms
Send preservation letters to Biden administration and Big Tech giants immediately
