Vice Presidential Nominee, Senator JD Vance, to Hold a Town Hall in Monroe, North Carolina

October 23, 2024

Vice Presidential Nominee, Senator JD Vance, will hold a town hall in Monroe, North Carolina on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 6:30PM EDT.

Kamala Harris has completely failed the people of North Carolina. Not only has she released historic inflation and a flood of convicted illegal migrants onto them, but she completely left North Carolinians behind in the wake of devastation post-Hurricane Helene. Harris' failures have placed a huge burden on taxpayers and it shows how little she cares about the well-being of Tar Heel State families.

In 2023, a study showed that North Carolina is home to nearly 488,000 illegal migrants and their 169,000 U.S.-born children, costing North Carolinians a staggering $3.14 billion annually. This breaks down to $779 per household, a crippling burden on hardworking North Carolinians. Illegal migrant households have added over 122,000 students to local schools, and the education costs alone amount to $1.47 billion. North Carolinians are also footing the bill for $461 million in police, legal, and correctional costs, along with healthcare and public assistance expenses.

While Kamala Harris continues to ignore these critical issues, President Donald J. Trump has a proven track record of putting North Carolinians first. President Trump and Senator Vanace understand the importance of lowering taxes, securing the border, and stopping the unchecked flow of illegal immigration that drains resources from American citizens. President Trump has always fought for the people, and the Trump-Vance ticket will continue to fight to restore economic stability, security, and prosperity in North Carolina.
