Lara Trump and Women for Trump Join Goya Cares to Support Hurricane Recovery Efforts in Georgia

September 30, 2024

Austell, GA – On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, Republican National Committee Co-Chairman Lara Trump, along with a dedicated group of Women for Trump surrogates, will make their first stop on their Save America tour.

On their first stop, the surrogates will join forces with Goya Cares to provide essential supplies to a beloved local food bank serving families in suburban Georgia, most recently impacted by Hurricane Helene. This initiative aims to lend a helping hand to those in need during these challenging times. On the day of the event, our surrogates will greet two truckloads of items to be donated to Sweetwater Mission, including canned goods and non-perishable items donated by Goya Cares.

Co-Chair Lara Trump also wishes to thank Louisiana-based company Ace Specialties for providing additional non-perishables and personal hygiene items, such as diapers, toiletries, canned goods, and children’s activity books.

"In the face of Hurricane Helene's devastation, Goya stands united with the resilient communities of Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, embodying the spirit of compassion and support. Together, we nourish hope and rebuild lives, reminding everyone that even in the darkest times, we can share the light of generosity," said Bob Unanue, President and CEO of Goya Foods.

Lara Trump will be joined by notable surrogates including Tulsi Gabbard, Former Congresswoman from Hawaii and active Army Reserve Officer; Danica Patrick, former professional race car driver; Sage Steele, former ESPN anchor and host of the Sage Steele Show; Elizabeth Pipko, RNC National Spokeswoman; and Lynne Patton, Senior Advisor to President Trump. These influential women will help unload donations and engage with Sweetwater Mission leadership and volunteers.

Lara Trump expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative’s first stop stating, “We are so excited to start this tour by coming together and supporting our neighbors in need following Hurricane Helene. This local food bank has been a true beacon of hope for this community, and we are honored to partner with Goya Cares to help continue their vital work.”
