THE AFFORDABILITY CRISIS – New data shows year-over-year inflation was 2.9% in July – more than twice the rate it was when Kamala took office and the 41st month above the Fed's target rate.

Under Kamala, overall prices are up 20.2% — with electricity up 31.7%, groceries up 21.6%, and rent up 22%. Real average weekly earnings, meanwhile, are down by 3.9% since Kamala took office; they increased by 8.2% under President Trump.

Year-over-year inflation has averaged 5.3%  during Kamala's tenure – more than DOUBLE the level of inflation under any of the last four presidents. Under President Trump, inflation averaged 1.9% — right on target.

It's part of the Kamala-induced cost of living crisis. 

• Americans' credit card debt has reached another new all-time high.
• Energy prices have soared 13 times faster than the previous seven years.
• The cost of homeownership is at its highest in more than three decades as monthly mortgage payments have skyrocketed.
• Kamala's inflation crisis has cost the average family an extra $26,000 paying for the increased cost of living.

NYC’S $5 BILLION ON THE BORDER CRISIS – According to a new report from the New York Post, New York City is spending an “eye-popping $5 billion on shelters, security and food” for illegal immigrants, an amount that could double by 2025.

As the post reports:

“The money spent so far includes:

• $1.98 billion on housing and rent.
• About $2 billion on services and supplies.
• Nearly $500 million on food and medical costs.
• Another $500 million on IT, administrative and other costs.

The NYPD alone has spent $21 million on public safety and security costs amid mayhem breaking out in and around the city-funded migrant shelters. The cost of the crisis equals nearly the entire NYPD budget of $5.75 billion.”

That money is not being spent on public safety, on schools, on a safety net for American citizens. It is money lost because of Border Czar Kamala Harris opening the border, and it’s the definition of putting Americans last.

“I’M DOWN TO EATING RAMEN” – A new report from CNN outlines the devastating effect that inflation has had on seniors who rely on Social Security to make ends meet.

From the article:

• “Until last year, Janet Albrecht could afford to eat roast beef sandwiches or tuna salad for lunch. But the widowed 78-year-old now has to skimp on her meals because her Social Security benefits haven’t kept up with the rising costs for food, housing and health care in recent years.” 
• “Next year’s boost will be announced in October, but it is expected to be 2.6% based on inflation rates through June, said Shannon Benton, the league’s executive director. That’s not enough to keep up with many seniors’ actual expenses, especially since the shortfall accumulates when prior COLAs don’t cover price increases, she said.” 
• “For Albrecht, it feels like her Social Security benefits have lost more than 20% of their buying power. ‘Food prices are still going up. Utility prices have skyrocketed,’ she said. ‘Let’s face it, the cost of everything is up.’”
